Today challenges especially with all available standards meant that there are many types programmes being made hence the need for a Multi format high definition VTR. Sony solution to these issues is HDV as entry-level HD operation, HDCAM for mainstream and CineAlta for 24P applications, and finally HDCAM SR for productions where the ultimate quality is required.

The HDW-D2000/20 is ideal as part of an end-to-end HDCAM production chain because not only it will support all available standards but it also has included a down conveter to facilitate the programme distribution at standard definition 625/50 standard definition and has compatible replay of MPEG IMX and Digital Betacam tapes.
